Managing Partner at Kopeć & Zaborowski (KKZ), Judge of the State Tribunal, Member of the Supervisory Board of PZU SA, Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PKP Intercity, Expert of the Ministry of Justice and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. He is an author of many opinions on legislative changes, including the Penal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code. Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Civic Responsibility Foundation, Mediator at the Mediation Centre at the Supreme Bar Council, Lecturer at the Warsaw Bar Council.
He worked as a lawyer not only in reputable law firms, but also in the Ministry of Justice, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Italy and the Chancellery of the Sejm (Polish Parliament). Maciej Zaborowski is also a laureate of many prestigious law competitions.
In 2016 he became the laureate of the prestigious Alumni Of The Year Award 2018 – European Academy of Diplomacy; “Risings Stars – Lawyers Leaders of Tomorrow 2015” organized by “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” and the Wolters Kluwer publishing house. The competition was under the patronage of the President of the Supreme Bar Council and the President of the National Chamber of Legal Advisors.
The prize committee took into account his numerous achievements, among them: the Supreme Court’s breakthrough judgement in the responsibility of the press, the highest court sentence for double murder with extreme cruelty in Poland since 1990, numerous high-profile media processes related to the protection of personal and human rights, community involvement and giving free legal advice to the indigent people. He was also awarded for pro bono activities by the District Bar Council in Warsaw. In 2019, he was awarded the Medal of the Centenary of Regained Independence by President of the Republic of Poland for his social and professional activities, in particular for pro bono activities and education of young people. In February 2020, Maciej Zaborowski as one of 5 advocates, was awarded in the prestigious Ranking of “50 Most Influential Lawyers in Poland, prepared by journalists of “Dziennik. Gazeta Prawna.” newspaper.
