Tanya was admitted to the Bar in 1994 and has spent several years as a sole practitioner, having previously gained invaluable experience as an associate with a number of local firms. She was an independent member of the Planning Authority Board for five years, and Chairman of the Planning Appeals Board for a further six. This placed her in pole position to advise clients about planning law and regulation in Malta, representing them before the Malta Environment and Planning Board.
A seasoned litigator, she enjoys extensive experience in the field of civil law, and family law in particular. She has been appointed by government on a number of boards of inquiry and served as a member of the Social Work Professions Board and the Commission for the Advancement of Women. She is also currently a substitute member of the Commission for the Administration of Justice.
Tanya is currently serving as President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Malta.
