When you engage with a Lexlink member firm, your case may be handled in one of two ways:
The client is referred directly to a fellow Lexlink member firm in the relevant jurisdiction, who will act on their behalf.
The introducing firm liaises with the relevant Lexlink member to obtain the required advice and delivers it back to the client.
A clear protocol ensures that the basis of engagement is always agreed at the outset.
This includes understanding where liability lies, to ensure transparency and confidence for all parties involved.
Lexlink operates primarily in English, with a secure and reliable email network connecting all members.
Because our members know one another well and communicate regularly, advice is often exchanged quickly and efficiently.
Lexlink has a strict no referral fee policy. This ensures there are no conflicts of interest and that referrals are made solely in the client’s best interest. Members are expected to provide high-quality advice that reflects well on the referring firm and the network as a whole.
Membership of Lexlink involves the following costs:
A one-time payment required upon admission.
Recurring fee that covers membership for the fiscal year spanning September through August.
A fee determined by the host country of the Annual General Meeting, paid directly to the host firm by each participant.
These fees support the continued development of the network, ensuring Lexlink remains a high-quality, collaborative and forward-looking alliance.
