Connecting with colleagues around the world — Philipp Brunner’s experience with Lexlink

BKP has been part of the Lexlink network for more than 10 years, strengthening its international relationships and visibility within the global legal community.

The firm is widely recognised for its work in civil procedure, contract, corporate and commercial law, employment law and succession planning. The team has also developed a strong focus on banking and financial markets law.

Philipp Brunner, Partner at BKP, who joined the firm and by extension Lexlink in 2021, reflects on what makes the membership valuable.

“So far I have really enjoyed meeting other Lexlink members at the AGMs that I attended in London and Paris. I had plenty of interesting and meaningful conversations with members from other law firms all over the world. I especially enjoyed the social programme.”

While still early in his Lexlink membership, he looks forward to opportunities for deeper collaboration with other member firms in the future.

“I haven’t had the chance to work on cross-border cases with any of my Lexlink peers yet, but I know some of the other Partners have. They’ve shared how much smoother international matters become when you can call on trusted peers who understand the nuances of their local jurisdictions.”

For BKP, one of the greatest strengths of Lexlink lies in its people. Knowing that skilled and reliable professionals are just a phone call away in other countries gives the firm confidence that its clients are in capable hands wherever their business takes them.

Looking ahead, Philipp hopes to see even more opportunities for exchange and learning across the network.

“Regular online discussions or short knowledge sessions, maybe three or four times a year, would be a great way to stay connected between AGMs. It’s the exchange of ideas that keeps the network dynamic.”

Although BKP’s story within Lexlink is still developing, the firm is committed to building international relationships and contributing to the network’s collaborative ethos.
