“Seek practical experience”, advises paralegal Galo Agraso

Galo Agraso, a paralegal at WSC Legal in Buenos Aires, is emphasising the power of practical experience when first beginning a legal career.

Currently 22 years old and studying Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Galo studied English for several years and obtained the Cambridge First Certificate, which has been a valuable asset in his professional development.

Joining WSC Legal marked Galo’s first professional experience and he has found it to be an incredibly rewarding opportunity.

“From the very beginning, I have gained confidence by working alongside experienced lawyers and becoming part of a supportive team,” Galo says. “Meeting new colleagues and learning from them every day has made this experience even more meaningful.”

During his time at WSC Legal, Galo has been involved in legal research, reviewing court files, preparing legal documents and assisting with procedural matters.

“Every day I discover new aspects of the legal profession that I had never encountered before at university,” Galo says. “Seeing how the law works in practice has been fascinating and has helped me better understand the profession I want to pursue.

“One of the things I appreciate most about WSC Legal is the opportunity to keep learning every day.

“The guidance and support I receive from my colleagues have encouraged me to continue developing both professionally and personally.”

This experience has reinforced Galo’s decision to build a career in law and has shown him the importance of curiosity, teamwork and continuous learning.

“To any student considering a legal career, I would strongly recommend seeking practical experience as early as possible,” Galo advises.

“It is one of the best ways to connect academic knowledge with real-life practice, gain confidence, and discover just how much there is to learn.”

Having the international support of Lexlink has been vital in connecting Galo with opportunities to further his career.
